Platform Overview
The Knowledge Translation (KT) & Outreach Platform is dedicated to moving CAN-BIND’s research findings into clinical practice and health policy with the goal of improving the health and well-being of individuals living with depression. A central focus of the platform is fostering strong relationships and ongoing knowledge exchange among researchers, clinicians, patients, caregivers, and other stakeholders, as this collaboration is essential for meaningful health impact.
The platform supports the integration of diverse perspectives from across the CAN-BIND community into the research process, ensuring that findings are relevant, accessible, and responsive to real-world needs. Through a broad range of educational and engagement activities, the KT & Outreach Platform connects with knowledge users via seminars, workshops, webinars, outreach events, educational videos, and social media initiatives.
These efforts aim to increase mental health literacy, enhance awareness of depression research, and support the uptake of evidence-based findings into both clinical practice and health policy. By bridging the gap between research and application, the platform helps advance mental health care and improve outcomes for individuals affected by depression.
